UK as Education Investment Hot Hub to Chinese Investors
The British Chamber of Commerce in China (CBBC), the UK Department for International Trade (DIT) and Venture Education jointly released a report on investing in UK education in July to promote the UK as an education investment destination. This ranges from early childhood education to HE, from language learning to EduTech, with K-12 as the main point of collaboration between the UK and China. Julian Fisher, the Chair of CBBC education committee pointed out that 36 British schools are operating in China, and 10 Chinese investors have purchased 17 UK independent school brands since 2014. DIT representative announced that A-level delivery counts for 40% of the global curriculum market share. The report predicts a continued strong interest in the supply and demand of UK schools in the future.
