Thai Private University Warned by MoE

As a result of formal complaints from students, Siam University in Thailand had been labelled by the MoE as the No.1 Alert of this year. The MoE has urged students and families to carefully consider other options, and agents to stop recruiting for this university. Although the alert didn’t specify any details, the complaints are believed to revolve around a lack of course and teacher in the Thai university. The MoE also urged students to be careful with other universities in Thailand offering Chinese language courses, including Bangkok Thonburi University and the Panyapiwat Institute. Chinese students make up the largest component of all international students in Thailand, with a total of 50,000 currently studying in Thailand, of which 20,000 are at a tertiary level.
