China Higher EdShanghai Announces 15-Year Education Development Plans
Shanghai will soon implement its 15-year “Higher Education Plan” along with its “Vocational Education Plan” in an aim to modernize China’s higher education and its global competitiveness. The “Higher Education Plan” will concentrate on extensive personnel training, academic research, applied research and technology in key disciplines such as medicine, arts, economics, law and science. The “Vocational Education Plan” aims to accelerate the implementation of a modern vocational education system with a problem-solving orientation.
