Peking University and Wuhan University Lead China’s MOOC Presence
Altogether, both universities opened 49 courses (Peking: 32; Wuhan: 17) MOOCs year. Wuhan University’s courses attracted a total of 655,965 students. Wuhan plans to build its own online course centre to be named “Loujia Online” while Peking University plans to introduce interactive teaching and learning with 12 instructors from Peking University from March 1st. Peking University’s courses are offered on the Chinese MOOCs site that was jointly launched by Peking University and Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba in 2015.
