North Dakota University and National Science Foundation of China Partner for Global Warming Research
Researchers at the University of North Dakota have received a one-million-dollar grant from the National Science Foundation of China to conduct research on creating clean burning coal-fired power plants. The grant will finance a four-year project for a University of Dakota research team to work on technology that will separate pure oxygen from the incoming air into power plants. The goal of the joint collaboration is to find commercial use for this technology that could turn the world’s vast coal reserves into clean electrical energy.
