Global Institute of Traditional Medicine Launched

The Global Institute of Traditional Medicine, an international research collaboration between the University of Adelaide, Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, has been launched at the University of Adelaide. The Institute aims to study the potential integration of traditional Chinese medicine with western medicine and the discovery of new treatments, concentrating on the research of traditional medicine-related treatments for glucose intolerance, gut health and improved beef quality. The Institute will draw upon the research of the different universities involved, as well as the expertise of various medical R&D companies in China.
