Northeastern-Sydney Smart Technology College
After the success of SHU-UTS SILC Business School, a joint institute between the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Shanghai University established in 1994. UTS has now established its second joint institute in Qinhuangdao, a 3rd/4th tier city in northern China. The new joint institute will offer three undergraduate courses (computer, statistics, and telecommunications), with 300 students per intake. The courses follow a 4+0 model (four years in China and no studying time is required abroad). This is also the 2nd official joint institute for Northeast University. Its first attempt, the Sino-Dutch Biomedical and Information Engineering School, is no longer operating as a “joint” institute. There are no details available to the public.
