Chinese University Graduates to Reach 7.95 Million in 2017

According to the Chinese Ministry of Education, the number of university graduates expected in 2017 will increase by 300,000, compared to 2016, with the total number of graduates expected to reach 7.95 million. The increase in the number of graduates matches the rise in the number of college students who secured employment, or started their own businesses upon graduation in the past three years. A key area to address is the implementation of comprehensive policy measures which will guide and motivate students to start their own businesses, work in small- and medium-sized enterprises, or work in education, culture, health and elderly care sectors.
