WILEY’s First Open Journal Launched in China
US academic publication giant WILEY will jointly publish its very first open journal, InfoMat, with top Chinese universities; the journal will target academics and researchers in the areas of electronics, sensors, and new materials. WILEY has offered free publishing for the first three years of this newly established China publication, calling for submissions from Chinese scientists.
The role of Chief Editor was given to LI Yanrong, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering who specializes in new electronic material. LI studied at Karlsruhe Research Centre in Germany, as well as Boulder University in Colorado, USA, he is also the President of Chengdu Electric & Technology University. InfoMat’s associate editors are from Nanyang University, Singapore University, Hong Kong Polytech University and Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris, France. InfoMat is aiming to achieve a Journal Citation Ratio (JCR) of 7 in its first 3 years, and go on to reach a JCR of 10 within five years.
