China’s First “Hybrid” Undergraduate Institute
Zhejiang University of Media and Communication’s HuaCe Film Institute recently became the very first “hybrid” independent institute to focus on undergraduate education. A small class model of 2+2 will be adopted in the 3rd and 4th years, focusing on practical skills through industry projects and internships, with a maximum of 20 students per class. The Institute is jointly owned by Huace TV and Film Corporation, Zhejiang University of Media and Communication, the Media, Publishing and Broadcasting Bureau of Zhejiang Provincial Government, and the Tongxiang Municipal Government, and stakeholders have invested a total of RMB 70m into the institute, which boasts state-of-the-art film production facilities.
