AIEC Conference in Adelaide
Adelaide recently hosted the 29th AIEC Conference presented jointly by IDP Education and IEAA (International Education Association of Australia). 1,100 delegates met over three days to discuss the theme “International Education: Global, Responsible, Sustainable”. The conference was well attended by institutions, government agencies and service providers from around the world. After UNESCO launched the conference with an inspirational opening address by Prof. Arjen Wals, delegates broke into smaller sessions to cover key topics in regulation, partnership building, student mobility, communication and agency management. While only the session on Chinese high school students’ experience in Australia was China-specific, many other sessions touched on dealings with China and other key emerging markets.
