Harbin S&T University: New Model to Manage Research Masters

Guided by the Science Advisory Board, Harbin S&T University received hundreds of applicants for its global life science talent recruitment campaign, and nine offers were issued. In 2016, the Science Advisory Board was established as a test model that allows it to be affiliated with Chinese universities, but maintains its financial and HR independence, as well as its research and training freedom. The Board is made up of a group of well-known Chinese and overseas scientists including Mr. BO Muming, a member of the Taiwan Science Academy and the US National Academy of Science (NAS) and the President of the Neural Science R&D Institute of CAS, Shanghai. The other Board members are fellows from NAS, the UK’s Royal Society and the Dutch Royal Academy of Science.
