UK and China Boost Research and Innovation

The UK’s Russell Group (the country’s top research-intensive institutions) and China’s C9 (Chinese Ivy League universities) have signed an agreement for collaborative research and innovation between both countries, which seeks to pursue academic excellence through mutual exchange. The agreement aims to boost science and technology, while deepening engagement and strengthening relationships. It will see a joining of efforts to tackle current complex global challenges (such as food security and the digital economy) and further facilitate the exchange of ideas and expertise. The agreement was signed during the first Russell Group-China C9 Group Dialogue held in Shanghai in October.
