Alibaba Founder Provides Massive Donation for Rural Headmasters Improvement

AnchorThe Jack Ma Foundation recently announced a 200 million Yuan donation over the next 10 years to train high-performing headmasters from rural areas. The foundation will allocate 500,000 Yuan per headmaster for preparation and training at renowned schools abroad. Rural teachers will be eligible for the donation after a minimum of five years of experience in villages or townships, having demonstrated an effective school management record. The Jack Ma Foundation has been helping China’s rural education sector for a number of years; a sector that comprises a total of 40 million students. The first 12 million Yuan donation will distributed by the end of 2016.
