Chinese Students Secure Funding for Startups at Singapore Management University

In August, three out of six student groups from China and Singapore secured funding from the judging panel for their start-ups after an intense business plan competition at the SMU-Peeli Rural Entrepreneurship Program, jointly organized by SMU and Jiangsu Tao Shing Pee Education Foundation (TSPEF). TSPEF was founded and funded by the Nanjing-born Singaporean entrepreneur and philanthropist, Tao Shing Pee and his wife Liu Kwan Li, and provides bursaries and innovation & entrepreneurship programs to needy Chinese undergraduates, known as ‘Tao Students’.
