Canada top destination for Chinese high school students
The Center for China and Globalization has released a report naming Canada as the most popular destination for Chinese high school students. According to the report, which cites statistics from the Education International Cooperation Group, 31.85 per cent of all Chinese students going overseas for high school education between 2007 and 2014 chose to study in Canada. According to the CCG, Canada’s 10-year visa is responsible for the country’s popularity. Around 90 per cent of all students leaving China for secondary studies choose to do so in Canada, Australia, the US and the UK.
