UMPI and Siyuan University To Establish Joint Transitional College

Representatives from the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) and Siyuan University, located in Xi’an Province, recently signed a collaborative agreement to establish a transitional college in China. Siyuan University is a 16-year-old, non-government-funded educational institution in China, which educates approximately 18,000 students. The new initiative will offer degrees in business, education and environmental studies and students will receive UMPI’s new international tuition rate for the courses they take. Graduates will receive degrees from both UMPI and Siyuan.  The image above shows UMPI President Linda Schott and Chairman of the board of Siyuan University, Yanbo Zhou.
