New Standardised Training for Chinese Medical Graduates in 2015

On Friday, the Chinese National Health and Family Planning Commission announced plans for the introduction of standardised training for medical graduates in 2015. At the moment, the level and quality of training to become a resident doctor varies noticeably across both regions and hospitals in China, owing to the absence of a national medical training standard. According to the guidelines, training bases will be established in top-tier hospitals, as well as some in lower tiered hospitals, and will be subsidized by the central and provincial governments.
